The food court of college is an essential part of everyone’s college experience. It’s a place where everyone grabs a quick bite between classes, meet their friends. Food court creates a sense of community on campus. College canteen is like a breather for students to relax and enjoy snacks between classes.
In the same way Galgotias university’s food court is also a significant part of the university campus which keeps students fueled throughout the day. The Galgotias university food court is a popular spot among students as well as faculty to socialize with their friends. The food court offers a variety of food options including Indian, Chinese, continental which caters diverse taste preferences of university community. The food court also offers a variety of snacks and beverages for students. Galgotias university has a cashless canteen which enables students to leave the worry of carrying cash along with them. Instead, they offer students a rechargeable card which they can use in every restaurant in the food court and also the entire food court has an accessible wi-fi which students can use. Students can get their food card from the cashless counter inside the food court.
Galgotias university food court has a total of 12 different places for students to chill. Some of the very famous places inside the food court are chai adda which is like everyone’s go to place during winters because they sell the best coffees and tea. They are famous for their variety of beverages and snacks on campus. The story of the chai adda owner is also different from others. He left his well-paying job in Kuwait to follow his passion of starting something of his own. He completed his bachelor in hotel management from Kolkata after that work 8 years in Kuwait and now running this canteen in Galgotias university food court since 2018.
In the food court there is also a proper restaurant for students to sit with their sit and have little chit-chat between the breaks and to celebrate the birthdays of their friends which is Mingle with Chairana they have proper sitting management upstairs to relax and enjoy snacks with your favourite company.

There are other places as well in the food court which serve proper meals and not just snacks like PR Live Foods, they serve proper full meals vegetarian and non-vegetarian and not just snacks. In the food court there is a canteen called Chinese Bistro which serves all the variety of Chinese cuisines.
And in the summer the canteen with the most no. of students is DC Soda and Softy corner which only serves different varieties of sodas and ice creams at most reasonable amounts of money which is essential for surviving the day in the summers. Galotias university food court does not limit themselves with the different places to eat but they also have unisex beauty parlour called Glam studio inside the food court for students to help them in their personal grooming which is available inside the food court of the campus.
But the food court also has some problems which need to be fixed by the management and authorities of the university like there is no proper shed in the food court which causes problems during summer for the students. And in the food court there is also an accommodation problem as there are very few tables in the food court which is not able to accommodate students and faculty during the peak hour in the cafeteria. And the food court offers many varieties of cuisines and snacks but still doesn’t have healthy options to eat. There is not a single place in the food court which offers a good variety of healthy options to eat like fruits and salads.
Overall, the food court in Galgotias university is great, fulfils and caters to everyone’s food preferences at a very reasonable cost and provides clean and hygienic food. But just by addressing the challenges faced by the food court and implementing the strategies to improve it further, Galgotias University can create an even more vibrant and welcoming community in the food court of the campus for students as well as faculty of the university.
