On June 4, Galgotias University marked a historic milestone in the field of mental health by launching the ‘Never Alone’ project—a mental health support initiative designed to provide instant assistance to those in need through an AI-powered health assistant.
The event was inaugurated by Chancellor Mr. Sunil Galgotia, in the presence of Distinguished Guest Dr. Nishat Ahmad, and other senior university officials.
In his welcome address, Mr. Sunil Galgotia emphasized the university’s ongoing commitment to the holistic well-being of its students. He stated, “Galgotias University has always prioritized the overall welfare of students. The ‘Never Alone’ project is a testament to our dedication to mental health. By leveraging technology, we want every student, faculty member, and staff member to know—they are never alone.”

Dr. Nishat Ahmad, the chief guest, praised the initiative, stating that mental health has become an integral component of today’s education system. He added that the ‘Never Alone’ project is an inspiring step toward making mental health services accessible to the public using AI technology, and that Galgotias University is playing a leading role in this direction in India.
During the inauguration, Advocate Aradhana Galgotia, Director Operations appreciated the efforts of 11 trained students and 10 faculty members, stating, “A university is not just a place for academic learning, but also a foundation for contributing to society. Through platforms like ‘Never Alone’, 24/7 support will be made available. The project will be organized and operated by the university itself.”
As part of the initiative, 21 faculty members and students have been trained to operate a virtual assistant using AI technology. The support will be made available via WhatsApp, providing users with mental health advice and assistance.
The aim of the project is to prioritize mental health and make it accessible to all. The launch was graced by Project Head Dr. Deepika Daheema, Dr. Monika Agarwal, and students of various schools.
