One of the primary concerns raised by students is the poor quality of food provided in hostels. Most accommodations lack specialized kitchen staff, leading to inconsistencies in meal preparation. Students frequently describe the food as bland, unappetizing, and nutritionally inadequate. The monotonous menu, usually limited to rice, dal, and occasional vegetables, can lead to frustration and long-term health problems.

In some cases, hostels do not provide food at all, forcing students to rely on local restaurants, many of which do not adhere to proper food safety standards. This poses a significant challenge for individuals with specific dietary needs or restrictions, as options are often limited and unhealthy.
