Indian cuisine is gaining worldwide popularity daily and consist a variety of dishes,street food and traditional foods, which provides delicious and exotic taste,even each traditional cuisine features of its geographical location and historical style of making,such as Pulihora(Andhra Pradesh), Khaman(Gujarat), kadi pakoda (Haryana) and street food (Delhi). Delhi is the perfect spot for foodie, especially street food and Chinese lover’s,it’s also called as food capital of India.Mostly youngsters are preferred to enjoy multiple dishes, dessert and other unique food.

However eating spices and street food are very enjoyable moments for a person but it comes with certain risks such as risk of obesity, heart disease, street level, diabetes, cancer and other skin problems, and as we are seeing, heart attack patients are continuously increasing day by day, mainly in the younger generation. Students like to eat at street stalls because it’s affordable, accessible, large quantities and gives a similar taste like a restaurant. Meanwhile we have to be aware of the hygiene and other sanitation facilities on stalls, because street counters are usually sold on the side of the road and often prepared in an open environment, where all kinds of mini insects roam around the counter, although the vendors mostly used stored food, grocery items and can’t cook properly.  

Many of research has claimed that eating junk food, street food and additional Chinese material (such as hamburger, pizza, biscuit, soda,etc) regularly lead to growing food borne illnesses and some different cases. The symptoms of food borne illness are headache, fever , vomiting, cramps and diarrhoea. Furthermore, these kinds of food are high in calories, fat, sugar, salt, and processed carbohydrates, and depleted essential nutrients into our body like vitamins, minerals, and fibre. These nutrients are critical for maintaining a healthy body. So let’s check out major side-effects of street food.

Poor mental health

Many reports have shown that, if students consume more junk, street food in their diet, can negatively impacts into brain function including depression, anxiety and poor memory. Because these mines include high levels of salt, sugar and artificial flavours(ketchup, green chilli, red chilli, and soy sauce) , which can lead to fluctuating mood and energy levels. 

Obesity

One of the most critical side effects of street, and Chinese food into the body structure. Because it’s loaded with oil, calories, fats,sauces, spices and diverse artificial essence are added to food, they are a prime factor easily put on the weight of our body.

Poor Dental care 

Street and Chinese food includes high sugar,  unhealthy essence and artificial substances, can have a wrong impact on tooth care, may build up problems like tooth decay, gum bleeding, eventual tooth loss, bad breath, gingivitis, sensitive teeth, and an increased risk of cavities. Moreover it’s involves Chinese sauce, which have monosodium glutamate (MSG) substance,it enhances mouthwatering flavour into the dishes but it’s an extremely unhealthy acidic compound and  it reduces calcium from our body.

Unhygienic

One of the trouble factors on street places is unsanitary conditions, they are not aware about safety and better hygienic protocols because their main motive is to sell out their products as much as possible. Although they used bad quality vegetables, species and many materials. However it’s in the hands of people to take care of their health and hygiene and try to avoid eating your favourite food not from street places instead from restaurants, restaurants maintain their hygiene factor and either use fresh vegetables and additional food items.

In conclusion, put your cheat diet on silent mode and on a powerful diet with essential elements like dry fruits, fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, healthy fats and lean proteins( chicken, tofu, and fish etc), these products are the premier alternative from fast, street,and Chinese foods. It also enhances good fats, nutrition, vitamins, minerals and fibre in your body. Even more, it keeps you energetic, expands brain function and improves your overall health
