Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the 27th National Youth Festival at Nashik in Maharashtra today visiting Kalaram temple to mark the beginning of the auspicious day celebrating the birth of the most eligible Youth Icon “Swami Vivekananda”. The program for the national youth festival began with the offering of flowers to the statue of Swami Vivekananda. On this occasion, Prime Minister addressed the youth of the nation on this occasion of National Youth Day marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The theme of the five-day festival is MYBHARAT Vikshit bharat @2047, By the Youth, For the Youth. In this program, various states showcased their heritage through display of diverse traditional art forms. Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Anurag Thakur; Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Eknath Shinde and other dignitaries from the political sphere were also present to grace the occasion of National Youth Day.

Addressing the gathering Mr. Anurag Thakur quoted few lines of Swami Vivekananda. He said that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body and the youth should focus on their health and fitness. He also mentioned that there is no bigger resolution than a man’s resolution to fulfill his commitments.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Eknath Shinde welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reassured all about India’s strong leadership under the aegis of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further called Swami Vivekananda’s life a source of inspiration for all the people of the country. He urged the youth, who are the future of the nation to learn from the teachings and discipline of Swami Vivekananda. He emphasized on inculcation of Swami Vivekananda’s values in daily lives to make this world a better place to live.

On this occasion, the Galgotias University was connected live to attend this historical moment. Chancellor, Galgotias University, Mr. Sunil Galgotias, praised the leadership and said that Indian youth is more inspired and committed than ever before and thus Swami Vivekanada’s vision will soon be a reality. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mallikarjuna Babu also called this era Amritkaal in real sense that will culminate into a world that will make Swami Vivekakanda’s vision a reality soon. He emphasized on good governance and leadership and said that world will soon be a better place for others to live in and showed high optimism with the current generations of youth.

The live screening was attended by many NSS and other students from various departments and schools of Galgotias University. Prof. (Dr) A Ram Pandey and Dr. Manish Srivastav and other faculty members were also present in this event.
