Experts say that the lockdown slowed the speed of the transmission of infection and bought some time for the health infrastructure to meet the challenge posed by the pandemic. However they are worried that the numbers will rise exponentially in the time to come.
After remaining in lockdown for over two months, the people of India has got some relief from the unusual way of living of life in a confined environment of Covid-19 lock down period which was never experienced before. However’ will the people of India understand and value the freedom of “Unlocking”, will they sincerely be following the social distancing and other norms laid down by the Government or will start once again living a casual life forgetting the nightmare experience of Covid-19 and lock down which still exists in the environment will be a million dollar question? The “Unlocking period will be time testing moment for one and all, and it will highly sensitive for the country.

Speaking to IANS a senior epidemiologist and Public Health Specialist, in a Delhi government hospital said on the condition of anonymity, “As we are moving towards unlocking the country, I can clearly see that the situation is going to worsen. There are various reasons to say that. In our country at least 22 per cent of the population lives below the poverty line. It’s very difficult to expect them to use sanitizers and soaps and even water. Many of them cannot afford to do so.
Although’ there is a sharp rise in Corona virus affected people in India and its still on the rise every day. Despite this a common man has understood the Covid-19 cannot be taken lightly and those who are taking all precautions are safe and people with casual attitude are the one who are getting affected.
