Wildlife Preservation and Beyond: Building a Sustainable Society-NSS & Mass Communication celebrates World Environment Day

Department of Mass Communication and National Service Scheme Unit, Galgotias University, Greater Noida organized a webinar &ldquoWildlife and Us: Eliciting Public Support&rdquo. The webinar was all about enhancing wildlife conservation, through the promotion of conserving biodiversity by celebrating the UN&rsquos World Environment Day 2021.
World Environment Day takes place every year on 5 June. It is the United Nations&rsquo flagship day for promoting worldwide awareness and action for the environment. Over the years, it has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental public outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world.
She addressed the students of Mass Communication of Galgotias University and spoke about wildlife preservation and how we can contribute to encouraging it as budding journalists. She also gave an overview of all the zones of Indian Biodiversity and the significance of preserving the wildlife.
The welcome remarks were made by Dr. Harish Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Mass Communication and the special address on the occasion of World Environment Day was made by Dr. A. Ram Pandey, Dean, Department of Mass Communication. Prof. Ganesh D. Bhatt, Professor, School of Agriculture gave the vote of thanks. Over 141 students participated in this webinar along with their faculty members.
