India on Saturday thrashed Bangladesh by 227 runs in the third and final ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, but went down 1-2 in the three-match series .

Chasing a target of 410, Bangladesh were bowled out for a paltry total of 182 in 34 overs. For India, Shardul Thakur bagged three wickets, while Axar Patel and Umran Malik took two wickets each. Earlier, Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli ripped apart the Bangladesh bowling line-up to help India post a daunting total of 409 for 8 in 50 overs.The duo together stitched 290 runs for the second wicket.Put in to bat, Kishan blasted 210 off 131 balls, while Virat Kohli (113) also slammed his first ODI hundred since August, 2019.Virat Kohli, who was dropped on 1, completed his 72nd international ton before getting out on 113 off 91 balls against Shakib Al Hasan. Ishan Kishan smashed the fastest double hundred in the history of ODI cricket . Kishan, who came into the side in place of an injured Rohit Sharma, slammed as many as 24 fours and 10 maximums . Bangladesh Captain Litton Das won the toss and chose to bowl first in the game .In reply, Bangladesh were all out for 182 in 34 overs with Shakib Al Hasan top-scoring with a 50-ball 43 for the hosts.

 In the second ODI against Bangladesh , The Indian skipper was earlier rushed to the hospital for an X-ray as he had hurt his thumb while fielding. He didn’t walk to open the innings but walked in when India were reduced to 207/7 in the 43rd over. Rohit then dragged India close to the 272-run target, as he smashed three boundaries and five sixes. He finished the innings unbeaten on 51 off 28 deliveries .His innings gone into vain as India lost to Bangladesh by 5 runs . 

Although, we couldn’t win against Bangladesh in ODIs, but we were able to save from the whitewash. Not a series to remember but many things to learn from it. Onto the Tests now
