“India has always been the land of innovation”, said the Chief Guest Mr. Amitabh Nag, CEO of Digital India Bhashini Division (Bhashini) and Director of Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The program commenced with the lighting of a lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Present were Mr. Amitabh Nag, along with the Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University, Dr. Mallikarjun Babu; Former Vice-Chancellor and Advisor to Chancellor, Dr. Renu Luthra; and Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Avdhesh Kumar.
The IDE Bootcamp is a two-day program organized by the Council for Educational Innovation, as an educational collaboration program with the Department of Educational Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education (MoE), Innovation Cell (MIC) of the MoE, AICTE, and NCERT. The main objective of this program is to nurture the talent of the youth and guide them to their destination.
In his speech, Chief Guest Amitabh Nag said that today we envision a system where we can communicate with multilingual capabilities. He mentioned that advancements have been made in this field, emphasizing the potential for computers to both generate and understand speech, as well as translate languages.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mallikarjun Babu while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of ethics, stating that we have a great responsibility both moral and legal, and we should always adhere to our principles. He advised students to uphold their moral values in their private and well as professional life, saying that morality will help you in every aspect of your life. Therefore, morality cannot be overlooked.
CEO, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia emphasized the boundless potential of the youth, expressing confidence in their ability to explore new horizons. He emphasized the vast array of opportunities available and urged them to leverage their capabilities to contribute towards making India a global leader. Dr. Galgotias stressed the importance of individual responsibility in achieving this vision, emphasizing that the collective efforts of the youth would measure the success of such endeavors. He called for unity and collaboration, urging everyone to work towards the common goal of national prosperity and welfare.
Dr. Renu Luthra emphasized the expanded role of academic administrators, stressing the importance of holistic thinking and nurturing human relationships. She drew inspiration from the story of Archimedes in a tub of water, highlighting the power of new thinking to lead to significant discoveries.
Addressing the event’s significance in the broader narrative of global developments, Dr. Luthra underscored the collective impact of individual efforts, likening them to drops in the ocean. She encouraged attendees to see themselves as integral contributors to positive change.
Dr. Luthra also discussed the transformative potential of the New Education Policy 2020, echoing the Prime Minister’s vision of revitalizing India’s educational landscape. She expressed confidence in the policy’s ability to propel India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Dr. Avdhesh Kumar emphasized the vital role of innovation and research in the success of any institution or entity. He stressed the significance of developing new technologies and tools for widespread use, underscoring the necessity of fostering an environment conducive to technological advancement. He emphasized cultivating a harmonious and supportive environment for these technological ecosystems to thrive. Dr. Kumar highlighted the leadership qualities required from both institutional leaders and the youth in nurturing such an environment and driving forward progress.
Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, the nodal officer of the program, shared some data to highlight the extensive reach of the IDE Bootcamp. The Bootcamp will witness participation from 43 districts of Uttar Pradesh, involving the attendance of 165 principals and 83 educators. The 165 schools include 82 Kendriya Vidyalas and 83 Government Inter Colleges. The involvement of 7 specialists and trainers promises an enriching experience for all attendees.
