
The Chief Guest Mr. Atanu Chakraborty, Chairman HDFC Bank and Guest of Honour, His Excellency Mr. Clemente Pedro Francisco, Ambassador of Angola to India graced the event. 3906 degrees were conferred to the graduates of 2023.
Shri Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor of Galgotias University welcomed the guests, graduating students and their parents. He entrusted the graduating students to use the value-based education received at the University to bring peace and harmony in the world. He told the students that they are privileged to be the part of the growth story of “Viksit Bharat – Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas” by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi ji. He stressed upon the fact that we at Galgotias University, are consistently endeavouring to equip the young men and women with the competencies that are required by evolving work profiles and practices. We are embracing digital technology which is a force multiplier when it comes to increasing access to education. He congratulated and wished the students to start their lives taking responsibility for themselves and the society.
Dr. KM Babu, Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University welcomed the guests and presented the annual report of the university for the year 2022-23. He highlighted the flagship events conducted in the university, the academic programmes, student training programmes, research and innovation achievements, industry-institute linkages, commencement of centre of excellences, community linkage activities and the work towards United Nation’s sustainable development goals. He also stated that University was recently rated 5 star for Excellence by QS Ranking and placed third in filing patents in India.
Mr. Atanu Chakraborty, Chairman HDFC Bank in his convocation address congratulated Galgotias University for the significant impact in research, innovation and pedagogy within a short span of time. He mentioned that today marks a significant milestone in the journey of the graduates. It’s a day of celebration, reflection, and anticipation of the exciting paths that lie ahead for them. He not only acknowledged their academic achievements but also their readiness to embark on new endeavours, equipped with the skills, values, and experiences. He urged the graduates that as they step into the next chapter of their lives, they should remember the lessons learnt, the friendships made, and the dreams that have fuelled their journey thus far. He wished the students to continue to strive for excellence, embrace lifelong learning, and make meaningful contributions to your communities and the world at large.
His Excellency Mr. Clemente Pedro Francisco, Ambassador of Angola to India commended the contribution of Galgotias University towards the international students and also congratulated the graduates of the batch 2023. He wished them huge success in their lives ahead.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University felicitated the outgoing members of the student council during the convocation. In his remarks, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia mentioned that students are the major force of all the activities in the university. Each student demonstrates remarkable determination and resilience in overcoming challenges and reaching new heights. As our students embark on new adventures and embrace new challenges, he reminded them that their journey of learning is far from over. Lifelong learning is the key to personal growth and professional development.
Ms. Aradhana Galgotia, Director Operations at Galgotias University congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to carry forward the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and innovation taught in the university. She urged them to seize every opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference.
Dr. Avadhesh Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University presented the total count of graduates to the Chancellor for conferring the degrees. He informed that 3906 degrees are being awarded to those who have finished their coursework and passed the exam within the time frame.
Dr. Nitin Gaur, Registrar at Galgotias University led the academic procession and the convocation was a success under his guidance. He urged the students that as they are stepping out into the world, may they do so with confidence, courage, and compassion. May they continue to learn, to grow, and to make a difference wherever their paths may lead.
The convocation was declared close by Honourable Chancellor followed by national anthem.
