Child labour is a major and very concerning issue which needs attention. It is not only persisting in India but also in many parts of the world. Child labour is like snatching the childhood of the childrens who are engaged in child labour. Child labour is also hindering the innocence,and their growth as well as development. Child Labour is the employment done by children which is harmful for them mentally, physically, socially and morally. It not only deprives their education and play but also a healthy growth and upbringing. Child Labour violate the fundamental rights and compromises their overall well being.There are many causes of child labour such as economic pressure on families, lack of quality education, lack of child labour awareness and poverty are the very pressurised causes of child labour which needs attention. Poverty is considered as the primary and main factor which contributes to child labour, as families poor conditions may depends on their childrens income for their survival. Limited employment opportunities for adults also plays a vital role in contributing to child labour.Child labour has many long term consequences which affects the life of a child in various aspects. Dangerous and physically demanding work can affect their mental and physical health which leads to far reaching consequences. Child trafficking is sometimes subjected to violence, abuse and violation of other human rights. There are also threats of sexual exploitation in cases girl child labour and boys may exploited by armed forces and groups. Also the consequences of child labour are shocking and can result in extreme bodily and mental harm, and even death. It hampers the educational prospects of children and perpetuates the cycle of poverty and limits their future opportunities. Additionally,vital experiences and social interactions.Recognising the urgency of addressing child labour, few international organisations have been working endlessly to fight this issue such as International Labour Organisation (ILO)and United Nations children Fund (UNICEF).The ILOs convention no. 182 sets standards for the worst forms of child labour and call for its elimination. Government have enacted legislations world wide to children from exploitation, but enforcement and implementation remain important challenges. UNICEF supports increased access of quality education and provides various social services to keep children protected with their families.Education plays a crucial role in educating and create awareness of child labour. Quality education and if it is accessible will equips children with the significant skills in them and knowledge to break free from the cycle of poverty. Organization and government should must invest in education infrastructure and provide scholarship and incentives, and increase and raise awareness about the importance of education among children. Early education is very crucial to get Children out of labour market according to Education International. Education also affect children positively in lng term basis as it makes them self dependent and employed in future. Education can slow combat with the causes of child labour such as poverty, unemployment, lack of good schools and lack of proper economy. In conclusion, child labour needs a pressing attention and collaborative actions of government and organisations like ILOs and UNICEF, community members, and individuals also. While addressing on child labour it is important to work on root causes of child labour such as poverty and lack of quality education.
