Delhi’s pollution has been increasing since a long period of time, as the citizens are suffering from October-Novembegr which is primarily caused by the burning of crops in the nearby states or region from the Capital, but the second reason for Delhi’s pollution is always the traffic or the cars, which causes air and noise pollution, which harms the environment of the city. As the AQI(Air Quality Index)of Delhi has been very poor for 4 months continuously, and even after many so many days in such bad air, it’s still not decreasing and now the primary reason is shifted to the pollutants which are created by the four-wheeler or two-wheelers.

The traffic in the National Capital Region is very much, even though there are many facilities for people to go up-down as the government provides metro railways but people are not opting for metros as they are taking a long time to go from one station to another, but it doesn’t mean that there time is saved by using their own vehicles it’s still the same as the traffic load is very high and people get stuck in the traffic for 3-4 hours, sometimes even more. If a person needs to do a work of one hour but they will end up wasting their 5 hours as the traffic will take 4 hours to go from one place to another. The traffic affects a lot of the public as the people who are going to office or the students going to colleges or schools have to face many problems before reaching their destination.
The traffic even cause noise pollution which increases a lot of disease especially in old age people as there are high chances of them facing hearing issues, even it affect the youth of the country as the high level of noise promotes depression, anxiety, or stress and make it more worse to them as they are unable to do their things properly.

As the winters have arrived and this time it’s going on a very high peak, it has also bring a lot of fog with it, which is also becoming a reason to increase the level of AQI, because of which the air quality for the breathing of people is very bad, the Delhi government in the starting tried to put the one of their most famous scheme, which they put every year whenever they see the AQI bad, which is the, “Odd-Even” scheme as they try to put ban on half of the cars which are traveling on daily basis, and this time they even put a fine on the people who are not going to follow this rule of ten thousand, as it will result in less traffic and make a better air quality, but nowadays the locals are having at least two cars in the Capital, each one of different number so that they can use one of their car in this time of the year, resulting in the same number of traffic and air quality. The government needs to take some strict actions towards it as it is getting worse as each day is passing.
