The dense fog descended on the morning of January 13, 2024, catching residents and authorities off guard. The onset was rapid, with visibility dropping drastically within a short span, leading to immediate disruptions in daily routines.

The usual smooth flow of traffic to the university was disrupted, leading to delays in both private and university-provided transportation.

Many students who relied on public transportation found themselves waiting for longer durations at metro stations. Private vehicles also faced difficulties navigating through the fog-covered roads. The university administration acknowledged the challenges faced by students and encouraged flexibility in attendance policies for the day.
