The air is thick with anticipation as Parineeti Chopra the star of “Ishaqzaade”, and Raghav Chadha, the youngest Member of Parliament from The Aam Aadmi Party, got engaged on May 13. The modest event took place at New Delhi’s Kapurthala House. The lovely ceremony was scheduled to begin at 5:00 P.M. The engagement ceremony was done according to Punjabi rituals. It was a small gathering of only their closest friends and family members. Priyanka Chopra, Manish Malhotra, Mika Singh and Gurdeep Mehndi were among the celebrities who attended the ceremony. It was somewhat more political gathering because more guests hold political backgrounds.
Manish Malhotra, the celebrity fashion designer, was among first to arrive at Kapurthala House just a few minutes before the engagement began, he flaunted his black elegant kurta among paps. The Global Actress Priyanka Chopra was seen arriving to the venue after Manish Malhotra she gave almost 5 hrs. of his busy schedule to her sister while returning she gave number of stunning poses in her green ruffled dress, she looked gorgeous in a sophisticated ensemble. She made a fashion statement at her cousin Parineeti’s engagement. She arrived in New Delhi on same day of engagement. Abhishek Manu Sanghavi, Senior Advocate was also seen arriving at RagNeeti’s engagement. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was spotted coming with his wife Gurpreet Kaur ahead of Parineeti and Raghav’s engagement. Aditya Thackrey also marked his presence in the special event of his very good friend Parineeti. Arvindra Kejrival, Delhi Chief Minister also seen arriving at venue with his wife Sunita Kejrival and their kids. Former Finance Minister P Chitambaram also came to give his blessings to the couple. Bollywood singer, Mika Singh also came to wish the couple.
The guest list contains about 150 names, along with bollywood guests, political luminaries like Member of parliament and renowned lawyer Kapil Sibal, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay singh, BCCI vice President Rajiv Shukla, Pawan Sachdeva, Akal Takht, Giani Harpreet Singh and all India Trinamool Congress MP Derek O’Barien also came to shower their blessings.
The couple delighted everyone with glimpses of their engagement day and shared a lovely set of photos on instagram and twitter. Raghav Chadha tweeted his happiness at the engagement to Parineeti Chopra and said she had agreed to all he had wished for. The message of the tweet was, “Everything I prayed for.. She said yes!” At the same time Parineeti also tweeted “Everything I prayed for.. I said yes”.
Parineeti and Raghav Chadha both donned simple yet stunning outfits to their engagements. Raghav Chadha displayed modest elegance in a monotone achkan, while Parineeti wore sublime rose- pink kurta combination with minimal pearl accents by designer Manish Malhotra.

Manish Malhotra shared details about Parineeti’s engagement dress on instagram. He said that her rose-pink kurta was paired with peal-encrusted flare trousers and an airy Kashmiri threadwork Dupatta. While all loved Parineeti’s modest and elegant Kurta set with a jewel collar, tone-on-tone embroidery and pearl decorations, her gems are as stunning, it instantly increased the bridal glam. She went with a bejeweled maang tika and polka earrings. That’s all there is to it! Oh, and there was her ogle-worthy engagement ring, which she flaunted in photos from their romantic engagement ceremony.
Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra are engaged.
