The Wuhan virus has made its way back to the masses in the New Year as well as it did in the previous year. It is still the fault of the people who have not taken the pandemic seriously and have started to unfollow the preventive steps needed to curb the spread of corona. Stats and figure have made it evident that many nations are seeing a surge in cases and it is not a good sign for the other countries who also are battling their war to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
China is taking rigorous steps to curb the spread in their country by making people prisoner in their own home by giving them the food they require for a week or so and ordering them not to get out of their house so that they can stop the chain of spread of corona. Many videos of people showing negative sign and reaction to China government’s action on their way to control the virus has been floating on the web. This has led to massive backlash on China on an International level. In China, from 3 January 2020 to 5:07pm CET, 13 January 2023, there have been 10,855,369 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 33,698 deaths, reported to WHO. As of 28 November 2022, a total of 3,465,113,661 vaccine doses have been administered. China is taking various unlawful steps to curb the spread of the virus be it by hook or by crook.
It is great time for India to shine as a sole super power in Asia as it has tried every possible way of curbing the spread of virus at the same time it has tried to maintain the very essence of humanism while implementing the various restrictions on its people and while administrating the vaccine to all its people, especially to those who were exposed to the negative news of vaccination, who were not ready at all to take a vaccine dose. Maintaining human dignity while stopping them from unlawful activities during lockdown situation was also remarkable. Till now India has administered 100 crore vaccine doses which is an unprecedented accomplishment, and the world applauds India as they also know that while governing the world’s second largest population and cratering to each and every people need is not an easy task still, they have made it a long way in administering the doses in that country where most of its population is illiterate and exposed to various fake news on vaccination. Government has also played a remarkable role in this process, where they tried to make the whole vaccination process easy and feasible for its population. They made it easy by introducing various apps such as Arogya Setu app and many more to create a transparency in the whole vaccination process and also it provided a way or medium through which people could get themselves register for getting their respective doses. Also, the government made all the doses of vaccine free for it population which was a remarkable thing to be done by any government for its people. It made it easy for most of the citizens residing in rural areas and at the same time for those BPL population who were the ones who were unsure whether they will be able to afford a dose for them and their family if it cost them too much. This initiative of free doses to all was lauded by many countries Internationally.
Seeing all this situation in India with relation to curbing of covid 19 this serves as a contrast to the measure taken by China in curbing the spread of corona. And the helping nature of India, where they have provided free vaccines to various countries like, Sri Lanka, Australia, Pakistan, Maldives, Bangladesh etc, has resulted in the appreciation of India in the International arena against China, which is a very big thing for India which is leading its struggle to become a super power in Asia. Good will along with good intention has made India reach heights in the past and it will surely lead our path to success even in the future as well.
