Delhi- NCR enters third stage of anti-pollution plan. Keeping the condition of
Delhi-NCR this plan was very important to be invoked. This plan includes ban
on non-essential construction activities happening in the area. The order put stay
on demolition work. Delhi’s last 24-hour air quality report was 288 which not
considered good.
The quality spectrum is classified under four different layers.

Layer 1 have AQI between 201-300.
Layer 2 have AQI between 301-400.
Layer3 have AQI between 401 and 450.
Layer have AQI above 450.
Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself reviewed this project which is
The Real Time Source Apportionment Project. In this project the team is
working to identify the source of air pollution. This project which was approved
by the cabinet in the year 2021 and now in 2022 it got finally established and is
under Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC). DPCC is working in collaboration with IIT- Kanpur and The Energy and Resources Institute on this project.
The IITians are working to recognize types of sources and location of pollution emission. To tackle the problem of air pollution this, type of project was very much important. Things were changing from the time of Diwali when crackers
were lighting up in the air.
This pollution has made fog got mix with smog. Making the visibility criteria
lower than the normal one. These pollutants in the air creates lot of health problems. Majorly breathing issue is observed in the national capital. People are observed wearing face masks because of these harmful gases present in the air.
There were multiple accidents happening on highways making it compulsory for the government to take severe strict decision. This made government to ban
non-essential construction work in Delhi-NCR. Not only this they are currently
working on the project to detect the source of pollution.
