In the winter session of parliament, the Government said that 5G network service has been activated in
50 cities across the 13 States and Union territories. The service of 5G technology was launched in India
on 1 October 2022.
Dev Chauhan the minister of state for Communication provided the data in the Lok Sabha. According
to the given data as many 33 cities in Gujarat are enjoying the 5G service. After this Gujarat comes in
Second where 3 cities have 5G service. West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh both have 2 cities and Tamil Nadu,
Telangana, Assam, Kerela, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh have only 1 city.
National Capital Delhi also has the technology.
