CHHAVI MATHUR
- Pappu chaat wala
This hub is popular among office going people in the area for a refreshing break and
have a bite from the daily drudgery of work, these items double up as ideal ‘vrath
food’ as well allowing people to have variety and taste altogether . The shop is almost
40 years old and is run by two brothers who tirelessly maintain the same flavour since
the start . They make their own masalas and customise it as per the customers’ needs
in context to spicy, sweet, less oil etc. Other than aloo chaat and fruit chaat that is
most famously served here, they are also known for their juices, shakes, and lassi that
makes a summer morning refreshing . Sadly, they’re closed on Sundays due to office
holidays and low customer rate .
Price: Fruit chaat at INR 50 or INR 60 depending upon the size , aloo chaat at INR
40 , that is served in one size bowl. - Chur Chur Naan At Sanjay Chur Chur Naan – Delhi
I fondly remember saving a week’s pocket money for various street food items that
my pocket could afford and when I was in school I saved specifically for a chur chur
naan meal at this famous stall in Delhi . Crisp paneer stuffed naans that are soft and
fluffy are served with daal/chole and a glass of buttermilk that makes a meal
complete. Indulgence doesn’t get better than this plate of yummy delicacies . The
Paneer Pyaaz Kulcha Thali (INR 177) is a must-have here alongside it being the best
seller of this place.
The shop opens at 10:30 am and closes by around 11:00 pm depending upon the
crowd and food left.
Price: INR 200 for one (approx) .
