The book of Bhagat Singh talks about his life and philosophies about the ideals a person must have. His nationalism and patriotic feelings for our country has made him a true hero. At the age of just 23 he had a revolutionary mind, made us believe in ourselves and take a step forward against the oppression of Britishers. The age at which in today’s date we all are confused of what we are doing or what do we even want to achieve in our respective lives, he had a completely different approach towards it. He encouraged and motivated the youngsters of his time and continue to do so of our present generation.

So, talking about Bhagat Singh firstly, he belonged to a family of patriots, both his mother and father were part of the nationalism movement and his grandfather, a follower of Arya Samaj. Now coming to his book, it has all started with a simple question, why I am an atheist? In the initial statement of his letter to his friends which Bhagat Singh wrote, he says that people think about him as an egoistic person, one who is full of vanity. But according to him, he feels, to believe in God is to either be a rival of the God or consider oneself as God. He feels there is no superior or ultimate power in this world. According to him, the limitations and weaknesses of human beings tend them to believe in the existence of God. Though he comes from a family of believers, lately in his college days he ended up thinking about the existence of God.

There, are some other letters as will which were written to his father during the case of sounder’s death and a letter to Shaheed Sukhdev when he tried to commit suicide. The letter of Bhagat Singh talks a lot about life, believing in your true self and giving it all till the end. The last letter we find in the compilation of this book is, to the British authorities of the jail, to provide the political prisoners a better quality of necessities. A separate cabin, better diet and other essential things provided to them.

The life story of Bhagat Singh has been somehow, properly portrayed and described in the book and after reading this, I surely recommend others to go through it at least once, as it gives a positive and motivating perception to your life.
