How you started your career as a journalist ?
I’ve have opted for journalism after dropout from government law college Thiruvananthapuram. I used to work as a programme coordinator at falcon chambers, Trivandrum and after that I’ve worked in election desk at Doordarshan Kendra where I’ve learned more about my field more. After that I’ve been assigned as journalist at Kerala Kaumudi where Ive gained little more popularity and Manorama news offered me as Reporter.
Tell us about your book Vrindavanam.
This book is dedicated to my father as his biography. He was a very well-known writer, journalist and educationist and I have written this book with all my heart and soul into and have included all his amazing journey in this book.
Tell us about your genius father for whom you dedicated this book?
He was a great writer, journalist and educationist and a wonderful father and had authored a few books including the biographies of K. Karunakaran & R Balakrishna Pillai. He started his career as a clerk in the health department and also worked as a teacher at Palakkad’s government Victoria college. He contest in the general elections held to the Kerala Assembly in 1965 after resigning his job. Also worked as a sub editor in the kaumudi,Kerala kaumudi daily.
Why did you opted for journalism as you were pursuing law what happened there?
During my graduation year I’ve lost my dad we were having financial crisis and I have to dropout because of it I’ve have opted for journalism from government college Thiruvananthapuram I’ve completed from there and worked for Kerala Kaumudi.
Which was your recent difficult news coverage?
During the farm law protest when there were road block everywhere and even police become vigorous as they started to use water cannons and tear gas for which we have to wait till the situation get settled for so long.
Is there was any kind of objection when you were writing about vrindavanam or had any problems occurred during publishing it?
No there weren’t fortunately everyone appreciated his work and his book was welcomed by everyone.
What message do you want to send to young Journalist?
Just don’t be afraid of being an unbiased and honest journalist. Our work is to spread news to our audience as it is. Respect the deadline and be dedicated to your work
