Induction Program started for Media Students
The first day of the induction program is set rolling by the faculty members of the school. A brief introduction of all the faculty members with the freshers took place. After that, a talent hunt was organized by the 2nd year students of BA Journalism and Mass Communication in which the students of the first year took part and showcased their talents.
At the beginning of the Induction Program, Professor Abinash Kumar Jha gave an introductory speech outlining the importance of courses in Mass Communication and overall personality development programs at Galgotias University. Professor Jha emphasized career and skill development skills required in Media Industry.
In the second half of the day, there were various mentoring sessions in which the faculty members briefed the students about the program.
Dr. Harish Kumar, Program Chair, BA JMC briefed the students about the program outcome and examination pattern.
Dr. Shuchi Yadav, Placement coordinator briefed the students about the placement schemes in the University.
Dr. Tasha Singh explained to the students the importance of the mentor-mentee relationship.
Dr. A. Ram Pandey, Program Chair MA JMC briefed factors that will describe the holistic development of the students at the university.
At last, the day was rounded off with a couple of musical performances by the students of 2nd and 3rd year.


Sports and extracurricular activity Organized as part of Induction Program in Media School

The second day got kick-started by a friendly football match between the 1st year and the 2nd year students.
The girls also enjoyed the day by playing badminton. Various other sports and activities were also held.
In the second half of the day, the students got to learn about the model code of conduct in the university through a session conducted by Dr. Tasha Parihar. She also discussed gender sensitization.
Dr. Dileep Kumar Madhesia, Associate Professor, School of Liberal Education presented his view on NSS. He explained to the students that how their one small step towards society with NSS can bring about a total change in our society.
