When a child is born, the life changes for every couple. They
start visualizing of the upbringing of their child, dreams of
sending them to school to see them settled and lead a good-
happy life. Even if they can’t afford it, they’ll try their level
best so that their kids are not less than others. Every parents
and guardians feel very safe when they think that their kids
have to spend his/her 5-6 hours in the school. But when the
school itself has become unsafe then who will want to risk
their child’s life.
Recently in Gurugram, a 7 year old boy was brutally
murdered inside the bathroom of the school. This means that
no housekeeping staff was appointed to look after young
children in the bathrooms. And even the non-teaching staffs
are allowed to use the same washrooms. Pradyuman, like
any other child left for school in the morning with a hope of
learning something new. He and his family would have never
imagined that a simple and normal day would change their life
and that normal day would turn into a horrifying day. How
can anyone think of doing such a heinous crime and that too
with a small kid? Don’t the accused have his children? Will
the crime against kids going to end ever? These questions will
never be answered and this too will remain like a mystery.
The society in which we all live has made their own
conception that only girl children are unsafe, and that is true
also that, sexual abuse against girl children are increasing day
by day. But with the Gurugram case, it is also clearly
understood that the boy child are too unsafe. From different
cases, one thing is clearly understood that no matter what the
gender is, boy or girl, nobody is safe. From all this the
government should learn a lesson and ensure students are safe.
